St. Stephen Lutheran School Student Spotlight: Bible Story Comics

Updated: Feb 4

Recently, the students created comics based on different accounts from the Bible. It was an interesting project, and many of the kids got really into it! There were a wide variety of results, ranging from very serious to quite silly. Some chose to do long accounts, others chose short sections. I was impressed by the thought everyone put into it and their positive attitudes about a unique way of retelling familiar Bible stories.

What follows is the work of those students who wanted me to share their comics on the blog.

Natalie - Luke 1:26-38

Gabriel's Announcement to Mary

Natalie chose to write out the account verse for verse while adding her own flair with her layout and illustrations.

Ivy - Matthew 21:12-13, Mark 11:15-18

Money Changers at the Temple

Ivy leaned more towards the silly side of things with her comic and even ended it on a cliffhanger!

Vincent - Exodus 7:14-11:10

The 10 Plagues

Vincent was very proud of the symbolism of Pharaoh's hat getting smaller and smaller with each plague.

Serena - Exodus 32

The Golden Calf

Serena went with a classic comic book style layout and filled it with a lot of very expressive figures.
