Our Mountain View School Field Trip!
Today, our Mountain View Christian school visited the Computer History Museum! How exciting to have gone on our first field trip for the 2023-2024 school year! I just wanted to share a few photos to give you an idea of the fun we had on this learning adventure!
Here we are at Orientation!
After a brief orientation, we were handed over to an experience docent who led us on our 1 hour tour of the "Revolution" exhibit.
Our students were fascinated learning about the history of computers. Especially, seeing the progression of how the first computers were so large, compared to the micro technology we have now.
Near the end of the "Revolution" exhibit, there were some old school games. The students lit up with excitement when they got to play!
Nintendo!
Monopoly!
The tour concluded with our docent telling us about the Google self-driving car project.
By this point, we were all pretty famished and hungry, so we had lunch on the patio. After we restored our energy levels, we did more exploring on our own.
First field trip of the year!
We've sucessfully completed the first field trip of the year! Field trips are a crucial part of our curriculum at St. Stephen. The benefits include social skills, hands-on learning, enhanced concept development, and opportunities for students to live out their faith as ambassadors for Jesus Christ. This means we are learning to act with Christian love, patience, kindness, and self-control.
I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God for the Salvation of all who believe! (Romans 1:16)
